GreenPrint

Our Enterprise product from GreenPrint typically allows 30% plus paper savings through automatic page resetting, font substitutions, and innovative 'delete at print preview', allowing users to decide how far they want to take paper/toner savings. All this functionality can be decided in policy applicable to wide groups of users, and deployed automatically by the administrator. Extensive evaluation and reporting capabilities are available to assess wastage and savings prior to deployment.

The GreenPrint software eliminates waste before printing - saving paper and ink - and, consequently reduces high costs for consumables that usually aren’t subject to central purchasing. Reductions here are also seen as delivering significant environmental benefits.

GreenPrint analyses each page of every document sent to the printer and looks for typical waste characteristics (for example pages with just a URL, banner ad or logo) and then highlights and removes them.

Users are also able to remove pages, images or text blocks with a single click before printing, resulting in significant savings in ink or toner.

WPM will advise our customers on successive deployment phases and timings that will include power management functionality across multiple print types.

TonerCutter

This Enterprise product comes out of Japan and has been successfully deployed across many large organisations there. The product intercepts the Windows print function for any printer to reduce the amount of ink or pixels/dots per inch (DPI) subsequently reducing the amount of ink / toner used by up to 75%. Halving the amount of ink used doubles the life of the cartridge, or halves the cost of printing a given amount of pages.

Users can be given control where ‘customer quality documents’ need high quality finishing, but the product is capable of setting policy configurations that can be centrally deployed and controlled.
